I'm enjoying it, S2 was just meh , will hopefully finish S5 this weekend.
Started with Vampire Diaries S3 last nite, quite epic, it's becoming a bit more gruesome like True blood, me like

Re: The Series Thread
Sounds interesting ADT.
I'm currently jumping around between a bunch of older series, and some new ones.
Busy with:
The Mentalist
The Vampire Diaries
X-Men (2011)
Lost girl
Then also started watching Dark Angel last night- quite a challenge to get hold of, it turned out- too bad it's only 2 seasons

Re: The Series Thread
Uhm, Well, seems to be a new X-Men series, not in the old fasion- more anime-like. Yet another spin-off. Will see if I can link to info.
Edit: Closest I could get to any useful info: [http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=236061]Linky[/url]
Oh, and I forgot. There's also Wolverine and the X-Men that is now also available as a tv series.
edit2: replaced linky

Re: The Series Thread
On the other hand, Alphas became another version of Heroes. Alphas is an intriguing series. It has some of the worst acting I have ever seen, and yet the stories are reasonably entertaining.ADT wrote:Mystical_Titan wrote:There was no season 5 of Heroes...

There is one particular opening scene in the first season of Alphas. I think it's <*checks tv.com*> Season 1 Episode 5. It is quite possibly the most horrendous piece of acting I have ever seen--a truly cringeworthy moment.

Re: The Series Thread
@Stu: True on all counts- but I still managed to like it- right along with Terra Nova
Re: The Series Thread
Agreed, I watched all episodes without real complaint; merely stuttered moments of amazement at the aforementioned talentlessness. It's still a sight better than the Sunday night gospel singing shows on SABC 1.SykomantiS wrote:@Stu: True on all counts- but I still managed to like it- right along with Terra Nova

Started watching the lying game over the weekend, not exactly my taste in series, but me lady enjoys it.
It just takes quit a while before some action/suspense to kick in

I might have to watch Game of Thrones, just to see what all the hype is about.

What? Of course you have to. It makes this other stuff seem like Days of our Lives. It can be quite vulgar though.Mystical_Titan wrote:I might have to watch Game of Thrones, just to see what all the hype is about.
