20050405-01 still seems to have this problem with some web pages described
in release notes for 20050331-01
For BIND requests, if one IP in the name service is permitted (given
a DNS name), all are permitted, even if another one connects. One
could consider this a bug or a feature. Oh well.
Standard button texts in messages not translated yet.
-- Oh well, "OK" should be reasonable in any language.
implement UDP ACL
when connection is closed with running streams, the streams sometimes
don't notice
-- at leat not immediately, just after a while
we could make port forwards configurable while the connection is active;
what keeps us from doing it? actually nothing! But first we need to move
the Port stuff away from the connection; ports should always be listened
on and forwarded locally if the connection is down (except when configured
not to forward locally, eg. in a config panel "Misc" or whatever). This
requires us to move the SOCKS emulation out of Stream and somehow
emulate a web proxy... d'oh. Maybe we don't even have to have a Squid
running on the server then? And don't break the non-GUI version...
-- first half is done
non-GUI version should send bandwidth limitation according to config too.
streams from server to client do not yet count for maximum permitted
streams
if link fails permanently, the EMS should re-open it if there are
alternatives available. But how does it know?
implement alternative connection stuff in HTTP
put in control port (EMS based) that allows to pop up the window
when minimized and that will in the future become the API between
frontend and backend of the client.
check version and offer to download a new one
-- soggesting it now, but not automatically downloading it
button in config panel that offers help with finding a server does
not ask for proxy settings
Sooner or later the ALTERNATIVES string will be longer than 255 chars...
New connect code cannot cope with POSTs since it does expect a response
from the server when the header is complete. There will ne none though
if all is good, so what do we do? Wait for it and then continue? Daft.
Have a flag when requesting and return immediately, then check later?
Sounds better. Need to think about it.
Undo!"
Man könnte praktisch alle Konfiguration on-the-fly ändern lassen.
Also beim Wiederherstellen die scrollDown()-Funktion einmal aufrufen
SOCKS/Proxy ports on the fly ändern klappt alles nicht so recht
Catch exception if saving the config failed.
Willi: geo_daniel: Ok....it choose which server to use ......errorcode 504.....good...now let's stop the connection
geo_daniel: and ...in the messages window....it still try to connect
should read: if proxy is returning 504 continously and user presses "stop",
client still tries to connect
-- don't think that's still present, connection code has been
mostly rewritten since then
Saw a strange message on the server: user Xptohz3_turbo bad number format in remoteport: 6881 HTTP/1.0
grep for it and debug if it's all the same client/user
status panel maximum bandwidths do not change if new profile received in new connectrion
add code to the client to find the CGI relays
-- done but UNTESTED
also need to test if this breaks direct server search
we could simply test what happens if we access the CGI URL.
We should see the "Go away." string when we do...
This would have to be implemented in Server.java
need to implement RTP forwarding on the client side
it seems that the read-from-stream thread sometimes does not die
-- that should be fixed!
Add ability to send arbitrary HTTP headers with request to control
behaviour of silly proxies.
-- done, need to make it configurable in the front-end
We've started to lose 128 byte frames again, also 0 byte frames!
-- think i know why, should be fixed
Client _MUST_ close TCP connections of streams when session fails.
It _must_ clear the streams! But how does it know it's no longer the
same session?
-- it can't under all circumstances
Wizard opens first, then covered by main window
Server port forward... fängt doppelten lokalen Port nicht ab.

*This is the most famous rip of someone EVER
All honour to Creator
I think the best answer to this would be to stoop down a level of comprehension and immaturity that people of your age have, and say something like "I know you are, but what am I?". Dude, really, by posting cesspits of crap like you've been doing just to get attention, you're the only one that's lame.
Grow up, get a life, and while you're at it, go drown yourself in the nearest pool you can find.

YOUR-FREEDOM
------------------
HOW IT WORKS
------------
The client listens on local ports bound to the localhost address of
your PC. Programs that wish to connect to remote hosts must therefore
connect to your local PC instead, and the TCP connection will be
forwarded through the tunnel server to the destination.
There are two general methods of setting up these port forwards.
The first is the static one. You choose one of the available ports
on your PC (should be at least 1024 and below 65535, unless you
are an administrator/root which also gives you access to ports below
1024, but you should not use them anyway), and you configure a static
mapping to some machine on the Internet. Example:
portforward 5555 some.host.org 22
This will forward all connections to your local PC's port 5555 to
the SSH server running on some.host.org. (If you do not specify
the host name or IP address, it will put you through to the
specified port on the tunnel host, but that's probably not what
you want; and if you omit the destination port it will be the same
as the port on your PC.)
To use this port forward in your application, just make it connect
to "localhost", port 5555, instead of "some.host.org", port 22.
The alternative is to use dynamic tunneling. You can set up a local
SOCKS 4/5 server (both protocols work, choose whatever you like or
your application requires; SOCKS 5 is the less broken and actually
documented one and have your applications use it. Note that you
must be able to explicitly configure a SOCKS server in your application
for this to work (unless you use Dante's "socksify" on Unix systems).
Put
socks
in your configuration file (if you like you can also specify a port,
e.g. "socks 1080", when omitted the default port 1080 will be used).
Then configure your application to use the SOCKS server on "localhost",
port 1080 (or whatever you specified). To connect to your remote
system use the normal system's host name or IP address (e.g. some.host.org)
and the normal port of the service.

FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND LYRICS
"Kiss And Makeup"
No matter where you go
They'll **** tie you down
And bleed you from your wrists (bleed you from your wrists)
Well, it's better that we leave
Leave it this way (leave it this way)
And just to soften the blow
I'll steal all of your kisses (your kisses)
And sew them up
In the creases of our hearts.
No matter where you go
