Is it indeed an error? Or does it mean they have approved the application and now I just have to wait for it to be registered?

Thanks Tribs. I'll call their office tomorrow and make sure though. Heaven forbid it's another error on their side...

Third assignment submitted yesterday. Now it's just the second exam next month and the final one in November. I guess I'd better start thinking about revising and how I shall do it.

Yesterday I received a letter from UNISA to the effect that I would not be permitted to re-register with UNISA next year on account of poor academic performance, to whit I have "not passed two year modules or 4 semester modules."

It seems that in a fit of overwheening ambition at the end of last year, I signed up to do my single module using the BSc qualification code rather than registering for Non-Degree Purposes as I should have.

Epic fail.

I told me boss that I would try to find out whether it is too late to have it changed from BInsanity to NDP and mailed UNISA about it this afternoon.

"Unisa's Contact Centre (UCC) has been closed. This decision, which eliminates telephonic communication with the student, simplifies the way we communicate with students."

Can someone please explain that logic to me

It's just end user computing, Tribble. Nothing that would impress the users of this forum.

I have my next exam on 17 August. [ introduction to Word, Excel, importing csv files and mail merge]

I got 100%. We were given a Word document and had to change formatting, fiddle with headers and footers, styles and tables, insert images, find and correct errors, split a body of text into paragraphs [and vice versa], search and replace and do a little typing. Nothing too hectic. :-P
