EXX wrote:Okey, this case ain't just wood side panels stuck to a computer chase. As jou can see with the one pic, as you know, the gaming bomb chase is a large computer chase, but the one i made, i a lot larger..... but in the end. this computer is made to be big. i don't like small stuff you know. and the front panel... haha, well, if you really want to stuck your finger in to it, go ahead and to it. with the back fan, i did put a tray on because those fans will hurt someone.

Sweet, I like the wood! But isn't it like REALLY heavy now? :P

Oh and I don't mind about this thread, this could become a thread for all first time mods :)
(Altough that could become confusing :? )

Believe me, it's heavy!!! about 40Kg with the computer and it's 8 HDDs in all. I made the HDDs trays so that it could take a total of 12 HDDs!!! and thanks so that i can post my mod here. It's the first time i modded a computer chase. so yeah, it looks really great so far. I'm thinking of building another on some time later when i have the money. Because this one costs me R 4000 in total

I really like both case mods! They are really spectacular! It's really encouraging to see people take the gap, and especially that their nearest and dearest support them.

I don't have people really supporting my intended mod planning or anything, and those with the tools I would need to borrow from simply do not understand modding, being of the conservative nature. It's really depressing. Nothing kills a modding project faster than family etc, shooting you down before even putting pencil to paper.

As to the guide to forum etiquette, it is a good guide. We must be careful not to step on others toes. I'm also guilty of that, unfortunately. But will definitely be watching myself to avoid those oop's.

I know what you mean, exx. chassis is the supporting structure of the pc, whereas case is the overall catch-term for the entire rig, also sometimes used to refer to the outer bodywork (plastics etc). I do stand under correction, but that is my understanding.

The black and orange is effective and striking, extremely vivid and tasteful. Its aesthetically pleasing! Like its been said before, you just need to attend to those cables. It will also improve circulation and cooling in your case, done right. Look at maybe getting some UV reactive heatshrink/cable tubing for your power cables. Did that myself, was initially a mission, but looks great now in the dark and under led light. also gives you an opportunity to get rid of excess molex/power connectors etc.

Case, it's a case, not a chase.
