you know what i meant. Would not mind if i was in my own car, am driving the second half of the jorney back in the evilness of a diesel 4x4. Now the freelander 2 is quieter(Except for the wind noise which is non existant in my car) and has a softer ride than my car but it has such light steering that there is no feel in it. So you have little confidence in the car which you need on the narrow and pothole filled karoo roads

Depends which road. Many are very narrow but not too much potholes it seems. There are others which are amazingly smooth and in better condition than the daft N1. Why it cant have two lanes in both directions the whole way I don't know, they keep on patching it up but they could have just made it wider with all the money they waste on patching

Anyway am back now. Enjoyed it down there

Because, as was pointed out to you last time you were whining on the subject, traffic volumes do not justify the expense.

Honestly, some people on this forum are either deaf, dumb or fscking stupid.

I don't agree. I think there is enough traffic to justify them making it wider, some sections are already wide enough its just here are there that they need to do something about

Then again its mostly the section between Kroonstad and Ventersburg that is the worst. Almost none of those keep left pass right things there.......and the people are a bit on the crazy side too overtaking even if a car is coming the other way
