If you had an idea of the pain I'm in, they're worth every penny to me right now.
My wife had some extensive dental work done last year after our out of hospital benefits were depleted and it cost me R7.5k. I think we're still playing catch up.
Optometry is also a pain.

Luckily I'm on a medical aid. They pay everything. Just got glasses and now going to the dentist. It's not a cheap one but the company pays half so it's worth it.

If we have another year like last year I am going to have to seriously looking at upgrading my medical aid. Last I looked though, the next plan up was R1k more per month. Which means its really only worth it if I am spending R1k per month extra on medical stuff, which I'm not ATM.

So it's official: my brother has bought the tickets and he and my mother are off to the Olympic Games later this year.
He has strict instructions to bring back pictures.

Quick question: Will a Radeon HD5450 512mb 64bit be adequate for a media centre pc? (it will go into my old am2 64bit system (single core))

It should be.
I take it that this machine will be used for storage and consumption of audiovisual content?

I would imagine so, though I'd think you'd do well to consider a dual core chip at least.

It's my old pc- I don't have to spend anything apart from the graphics card- so I'm not going to, unless I run into issues with the single core
