It was a nice drive to Mooinooi yesterday but I am glad that is over with. Mines and mining are in my past - and I would like to keep them there.

Bit of news. We have this HR system where we have to do performance appraisals. Depending on these performance appraisals we are either getting or not getting our bonuses. Historically you needed a score of 100% to be granted a bonus but the rating system out of 5 on the question lists went up to 110%. With the one I had to complete this morning they changed the ratings to only go up to 95%. So now it is impossible to get that 100%. And thus it is impossible to get that all elusive bonus. Makes me want to cry. It is stuff like this from employers like these that makes you want to leave this world behind. Don't get me wrong I love my job... but stuff like this is just not on.

Well KK.... If I don't get it I will be highly disappointed. I still haven't gotten a response from our MD on my increase and it has been almost a month already. I am getting to a point where I just don't care a damn any more. Oh and our MD went on holiday for the next 2 months. So there is not a chance I will get a response any time soon. Looks like if I want to look after myself I will have to dutch this place and find another job.

I went out for an extended smoke break, came back and decided to open up a draft user requirement specification. So now I am busy writing a mail bashing the URS for its incompleteness and for the inaccuracy of terminology. Oh yeah and the use of language in the thing is absolutely appalling.

As I said yesterday. I can never regret my decisions. It is just not possible for me. I live impulsively but I never look back on any of my choices as good or bad. It was a choice that had to be made, it just is, it is not good or bad.
