He's probably straight, but if I walked in on him and my (hypothetical) girlfriend sleeping together, I probably would not think too much of it.

yes I have to agree with the Mouse here ... I can understand having friends and best friends etc of the opposite sex, even when in a relationship but in Ark's situation here this goes a little bit too far for me, and a lot of other people would not like to see their significant other in that kind of situation with someone else.

It has to hurt.

good luck to you again!

I make it very obvious to her BFs that I am not a threat. She actually came up this weekend and wanted to go to Manhattans. I took her and her friend to manhattans where I escorted them and made sure that they were not treated inapporpriately but other guys. And when both of them found some guys they liked I quitely slipped away to keep an eye out from a distance.

last night we actually met those guys for cocktails in Hatfield where I got to know the guy interested in my friend. Hell of a nice guy and I will actually encourage their continued interaction. He knows I am a very close friend and I, over the course of the night, came to the conclusion that he meets the standards which I have in my head for any guy that wants to be with her.

We are seperated by 700KM of land and she plans to go to the US for a year next year which saddens me but will be good for her. Our friendship will be able to hanlde the distance (as it has done for the last 18 months). But when I take a girl home I will be more anxious to hear her opinion than my family's. Thats just the way we are.

I'd spank them both playfully and then inform them that my sammich was not gonna make itself.

Then I'd have a giggling fit.

I applaud your honest use of the future tense. You could have easily written: "But when I take girls home, I am more anxious to hear her opinion than my family's".

Well honestly I have not dated since I have known her. And any way only the serious ones will even get to meet her.

Unfortunately I'm on the other side of the country (as well endowed as I am, I don't quite have the reach), otherwise I'd be there for sure. Perhaps you can find a local to take my place?

Omg! I lol'd.

its tricky. In a closed relationship, almost definately no. Open relationship, well if you are getting in a stew, you need to reconsider the situation.

that said, coming between her and her best friend may seriously backfire on you. Approach with extreme caution!

And given that he is seriously gay, well you are in for some drama. :lol:

edit: Jamin, KB and moses are only under 12 in the mental sense.

I know some guys who could take care of this problem... reasonable fee... they even guarantee not to make him suffer if you have a conscience.

Read: cat fight. Or he comes at you slapping away like crazy, you land one solid punch, and he runs away screaming like a girl.

Errrmmm, my ex got married to her "gay friend" a while ago.

Now I really can't say whether it is because of some inadequacy on my side that had turned her off men or whether he had decided to go straight, but:

1. She always referred to him as her 'best friend';
2. Tried to forced me to dress 'metro-sexual' - much the way he did (and probably still does);
3. Insisted on going away with him, alone, because I had 'never liked him anyway'(true).

My insistence that she terminate the frienship (and few other niggles as well of course ) was the major reason our relationship didn't work out.

Turns out that for once I may have been right? :?

i cannot believe that i'm actually siding with Killerbyte

hit me.
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.
