Gautrain won't help anything IMO, even if Eskom can actually power it.

I would never stay in PTA/JHB again if I head back to SA, not for all the tea in China!
lol where you gonna stay? pofadder?
If I went back I'd stay in Cape Town. Can earn a salary close enough to what I was getting in JHB and have a much better quality of life.

MOOD - Thirsty

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

If you are clever and leave at 8am - you can be in Sandton between 8:30 and nine. Some days are better than others though. I do travel from Irene so it does make a difference. Add a little on for further into PTA.

Count me in on any meet you organise.

In Killy's case, it might.

PCF has recently moved to Midrand, and I hear that there will be a Gautrain station there. Add in the fact that the Gautrain operators will have shuttle buses to take people to within a limited radius of the station, and it could work out very nicely. Assuming that this would work out, all Killy would need to do is get himself to one of the stations in Pretoria itself (probably the Hatfield station), and he's sorted.

I know that if I had a long commute involving heavy traffic and I had the option of a viable alternative transport option, I'd go for that. (And no, I don't consider the current crop of taxis, trains and buses to be viable.)

I did the trip today, woke up at 5am and left at 6am. I got to the offices at 7am which means I am an hour early for work but rather sit and wait than sit in traffic. There was a bit of congestion - no particular reason, I think it was just the traffic volume. My aunt says traffic will increase once people start taking their spawn to school.

So now I am putting in an advert

-----------------------------------------
Wanted
New Car
Low Mileage
3.0l Turbocharged Engine
19" Mags
As small as a bike
Decent sound system
Gets 100km to a litre of petrol

Price - R1000
What I type has nothing to do with the people that employ me.

I was rather envious of the bikes as they went past me while I was crawling at 0km/h
