I hope they change it.

Anything that pisses off rugby fans is great in my book!

@Jamin: by pissing off rugby fans you eventually end up with hooligans, we already have a far worse sport where the fans live up to their reputations.

They really want to waste money instead of using it for the better good of the country and then they most probably will ban every one from wearing any thing that's got the old logo on or label you as a racist.

Yea exactly
I'm not a rugby fan, but this is to much. Politicians should stick to politics and keep there noses out of the sports IMO.

I actually wouldn't have that much of a problem with it if I knew that the new emblem was going to be neutral and something that we can all be proud of. I also wouldn't have an issue with it if the gov sorted out more important issues like crime and poverty first. It's like the renaming of streets and airports, rather house people with that money and give us some acceptable health care instead of wasting it on things like this.

Like they say in the classics, why don't you just move on using short and jerky movements?

The emblem may be looked at in two ways.

1) The Springbok emblem was around long before 1948 and represents rugby in South Africa at its very best.

2) Remove the emblem as it no longer is a true reflection of South African rugby.

So we could have Springbok rugby and post Springbok rugby, using a pansy as an emblem.

Why change it to a flower? Why not an AK-47? it reflects our country's past and present so well... most probably our future too...

I think that would be in appropriate due to the AK being Russian  Also who would want to play against a gun wielding opponent?

Ya, because SA soccer fans are known for storming the grounds, tackling referee's and breaking their collar bones :?
I really truly don't care about the springbok emblem, but I cant miss a chance to provoke rugby fans!
