Unless...... you buy a new 6800LE for R1250, and unlock the pipelines. No 6600GT can touch it with unlocked pipelines...maxxis wrote:For that cash the 6600GT I have beats every other card mentioned hands down.

The 6800LE now goes for that much at most shops. And no, unlocking the pipelines does not void the warrantee, as its done through software (rivatuner), and doesnt change anything on your card. It only unlocks the pipes when u boot up into windows...maxxis wrote: You need to flash the Bios or go via RivaTuner which voids the warrantee and its only 80% chance it will work.
Wow, that's a rather nice oc. What program did u use to test for artifacts? AtiTool's "furry spinning cube" is quite a bit more intensive than most games. I found my 9600Pro couldn't get past 410Mhz (stock is 400Mhz)with the "find max core" option, but even at 440Mhz i didn't notice any artifacts while running 3DMark03.Hendrix wrote:I have the Sapphire 9550 256MB 128 bit, stock core speed is 250mhz,i've clocked it at 550mhz,and no probs for 4 months now.
you cant beat this card in the bang for bucks department!!!!
I'd love to check my 3dmark score with it,,,but its too big to download
Yep ATI Tool is more intensive. ATI Tool detects artifacts that aren't even visible to the human eye, which is why you can clock higher than what the max core says you should, although your card is probably artifacting and you just cant see it.Bobendren wrote:Wow, that's a rather nice oc. You mean when you overclock your card ?Abominog wrote:I have a Asus 9550, how much of a difference will I notice, honestly, not talking about benchmarks, real game performance!
Is it worth it??
