Watched Black Swan recently which was a decent movie. Great performance by Natalie Portman.

Also watched Splice, with Adrien Brody. Definitely interesting, but was expecting more. Still, not bad...

Still want to watch that.
Splice
Watched it. Didn't expect much and didn't get much. Not bad. Good to see Sarah Polly in something again.

Hi if I purchase blu-ray movies from the US can I watch it on my computer? The online shop is local kalahari.net, but they have little flags next to the product to indicate where it is sourced from. They do warn about PAL and NTSC but I don't find that particular setting on my computer

^^ It depends if the BR is region locked or not - some are, some aren't. South African and the US are in different regions, so if region locking is employed on your particular disc, this will be an issue. Best bet is to mail Kalahari and ask. ;)

Have a look at Amazon UK. I order all of my Blu-rays from there and the price is usually about half of what I find in SA...

Watched Next Three days last night, was a pretty cool movie, very tense. Also watched Unstoppable, was ok a few funny bits but nothing spectacular.

Had an evening in with my wife and watched Paranormal Activity and Life as we Know It. Neither was anything to write home about.

Terrible movie. The first two were quite funny but the third is horrendous...

Could not pay me to go and see 1 - let alone 3.

Just watched Unstoppable - loved it. Packed full of tension but very predictable. Still enjoyable.

Took the redhead to see this. Scoured newspapers and websites to find a 2D version, all to no avail. SK Southgate was showing the 2D version, but Southgate is a touch on the dodge side. I wish they would show non-3d versions of movies at selected cinemas. 3D is completely overhyped imho.

I agree with Stu, although the animated movies are sometimes great in 3D as opposed to live-filmed features. Tangled was one such example. I too wouldn't touch Southgate with a very long pole and the only other Junction close to us is Carnival City. Normally you just wait until the next 3D feature comes out and the old one gets bumped to 2D.

That aside, took the wife to watch Black Swan on Saturday night - what a freakishly piece of work Mr. Aronofsky put together. I believe the only way to enjoy that film would be in a narcotic induced haze of numbness, just too much weirdness for my liking.

You could always come to Centurion Mall - no 3D there.

Watched the A-Team on Blu-ray night before last. Some of the stunts were very far-fetched, but on the whole, I found the movie to be very enjoyable / entertaining.
