It's never too late!

Okay, while I'm busy with this, does anybody have a suggestion on a Durban branch?

i suggest the prospecton branch. they are tucked away and don't get a lot of foot traffic.

Definitely not the Cato Manor branch, the area that it's in is on the dodgy side. That leaves you with the choice of the Amanzimtoti or Kloof branches.

I can't find them, do you perhaps have a number?

And that might be exactly the reason why they would need some more support.

and toti is not filled with rich people. its actually a very large demographic ranging from those that can afford R3m homes to those that can't afford to own and instead rent.

and kloof spca is already being heled by some people i know that are doing a special PR camaign for them.

Right, my revised opinions on choice of Durban SPCA:

Kloof - Despite the fact that I live only five minutes away from it, I wouldn't go for this one, as they already get a lot of support from the local community (as KB pointed out). Rather go for one of the other two.

Cato Manor - Kind of dodgy area (as I've already pointed out), but it's centrally situated and they kind of need some help.

Amanzimtoti - Never been there so I've no idea what sort of help they need. You may not get a lot of people to come however, as it's quite a bit of a drive for anyone not staying in the area (in my case we're talking about ~50km, although I would still make the effort to show up).

the big problem is that does any one live in the area (Cato Manor)

i live in toti so i can get us clear directions. if we have the thing at toti its retty easy to get to.

Errr cameron - 'sponsored' is misspelled?
MOOD - Thirsty

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

It is a SPCA standard... All their ones are misspelled... We all saw the error and had a good laugh about it...

Its the thought that counts...

I would vote for Toti - they do a seriously large area - in fact, Scottburgh does NOT have an SPCA - we use Toti.

Kloof on the other hand, has all the support needed, as said before.
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

I went to the SPCA in Centurion yesterday to adopt a dog. I work till 5-ish, so I was there a little after 5. There were still some of the staff around, and I asked one of them if I could adopt a dog, even though they are closed. He said "No... it's after 5... heh... uh... uhm..." Insisting upon it, he said that he'd call the manager (who was still there). She blatantly refused to even see us, as she "was busy with reports". Is this how the SPCA is managed? Surely, to work there, you should have SOME sense of responsibility towards the animals? "Yes, but we've got families at home waiting for us." Are they gonna be euthenized tomorrow? Is 20 mins away from home in front of the tv worth a dog's life?

I regularly donate to the SPCA, and I'd hate to stop because of some bottom that is more concerned about the chicken on her plate than the animals.

EDIT: Word replacement ftw!

crow tends to deal with more of the wild animals rather than the domestic.
