I got DearS last week, and since I got capped last night, I started watching it...

Its nowhere close to being as funny as Green green was, but it does have its moments! Will let you know what I think when I finish it.

Im on episode 8 of 12 atm.

Evade, lemme know how Otogizoushi is, I have it, so I dunno whether to watch it or not.

Finished with Hellsing. Not bad.

Wish it was a bit longer though. Victoria's character is very under-developed. She may as well have stayed human, 'coz as a vampire she did nothing. I tried the English dub also, and have to say, this is the worst dub I've yet came accross. Besides that though I liked it.

Also watched Princess Mononoke. That was excellent.

Finished DearS earlier today.
It was a good "stabilizer" after watching Elfen Lied, and I didn't have a single moment where I felt like doing something else. Being very fussy when it comes to things like anime, thats a good sign.

I just thought it was kinda messed to show how his stepmother was gonna sleep with that male-slut-"I'm so pretty" guy from his school... I mean she is one hot milf and all, but that was unnecessary.

I found the ending kinda arb as well... Eish almost typed spoilers... Just watch it for a good laugh or two.

I'll watch that later.

Updating Nero tonight and watching Madlax whilst waiting for dl's.

So far I'm impressed. Good animation, good sound, and it thus seems there's actually a decent story.

I watched 8 eps last night. It's good so now I'm gonna see if I can get the rest. The English dub is also alright.

It's about a girl codenamed Madlax who's a killer for hire (merc) and a girl named Margaret who lost all her childhood memories.

Somehow, though apart, they are linked together via an as yet uncertian happening 12 years ago involving a red book written in scripture most cannot decipher. A book lost and now seeked by a powerful organization. Margaret has this book and though she doesn't understand it she feels bonded to it and now seeks another copy. Her quest to do so will cross her path with Madlax and once that happens I guess all will be revealed.

More than that I cant really mention yet. Except that it seems a good thinking thriller.

Think Alias guys.

I cannot link or search for reviews during the day, sorry. Haven't done so myself. Only baught it because those I actually wanted was sold out but now I'm kinda glad I did.

Nuke can tell you more.

Since Nuke's not been around yet -
MADLAX is from the director and character designer of Noir, and shares many similarities. The writer for MADLAX is Yousuke Kuroda, famed writer of sCRYed, Infinite Ryvius and Gungrave. Kajiura is composing and Bee Train is once again animating.

The story revolves around two female leads (just like Noir), one older and one younger.

The younger character, Margerette Barton is a daughter in an aristocratic family in a peaceful European country. She has no freedom of her own and her only companion is her maid Elenor. It seems that some aircraft accident 12 years ago caused her to lose her memory before then.

On the other end of the spectrum we have MADLAX, nameless elite agent with no past who fights in war-torn countries filled with chaos. It`s also mentioned that the war-torn country in particular is located in Asia with jungle enviroments. No one knows MADLAX`s true name or age and she is a true combat specialist in the field.

The theme of MADLAX is supposed to be war and how it affects people and the consequence/tragedy of murder, violence and lawlessness. The two characters are supposed to be parallels of lifestyles.

Awarded best sountrack 2004 I see.

I have to admit, it's very very good.

Yo Nuke do you know if animedirect have all the volumes? I really want to complete this one now.

Btw -

You've got good taste in anime my friend. I got it because I knew you have a few volumes already. Doubt you'll be buying stuff you don't like.

Next month I'll get Noir and Berserk. Maybe something else instead but I'll decide when the time comes.

Gonna see if I can get whatever else of Madlax I can get for now, as planned, luckily it turned out to be good.

Byron told me Noir is better than Madlax so I think you should watch it.

Come to think of it I also have quite a few to get through still.

Tomorrow's another day I guess.

its pretty good, its very "unique" in the way the story is told.... alot 2 do with past and present....
but the way the characters maintain there relationships in the past compared 2 present is very clever.
cant rly liken it 2 another anime..... try it though, its the only way u gona no

Here the saying "Watch and learn" comes to mind... With all anime, you could never be sure of how the story will ultimately turn, and thus not liking it in the beginning, might turn out to be one of your fav's in the end...

Eish lately I have finished Trigun, Gungrave, Fafner and Bubblegum Crisis... Got my 17-20 of Fate this morning and also something called Sousei no Aquarion...
