I work with ladies in the office who love the sound of Kenny Maystree (mainstream/meistri/whatever) or something, because that's all I hear all day long..
Although there's this brand new hit on Jacaranda by some chick name Miley Cyrus, apparently it's the latest hit
LOL - its Kenny Maistry if i recall correctly - i know the guy - i used to DJ at he varsity radio station with him around 1985/1986
Did you know he got fired off Metro FM because the his show went dead silent for 6 munites?? He claimed the system ran out of songs, which is highly impossible... Got fired anyways.
Is it just meant to be tricking someone into going to a site they don't want to??
Trick? A mere trick? Oh no, it's far more than that! It's about unwittingly subjecting someone to the tortuous vocals of Mr. Astley when they are in fact expecting to read an insightful article on the fourteen applications of palm sweat (or whatever the topic at hand might be). "Tortuous" is the keyword.

so what was wrong with Stock, Aitken and Waterman - they made a shedload of cash cos they produced some decent music at that time
i liked Rick Astley - as well as Kylie minogue and most of the other stuff that SAW produced - so many of those records were sold - everybody couldnt have been tasteless
for the record i hate most of what is called rap and rock nowadays - imho that is really tasteless - but by my own argument those guys sell millions of records so i am wrong to call it tasteless
as for being rickrolled - the song isnt so bad - its only that it was once overplayed - but it was okay - actually a lot better than some of the stuff that is passed as pop nowadays

Even if, for the sake of argument, we were to grant you this, you have to admit that the video is scary!
