I wanna explore some Jpop but I have no idea where to start and what's good.

It's not just Jpop but Korean, Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, etc. All teh eastern numbers.

Sorry ZeroS, don't know any ranking sites.
I simply dl what I can and keep what I like.

Good sites to get an idea of JPop would be the popular online stores like Amazon - I use Anime series to guide me through the trenches of JPop & JRock.

There is a cool forum on Japanese and Asian music - can't remember the name tho'.

Bad News: JPop and JRock fall under copyright in South Africa since there are shops that do sell (on occasion) Japanese music. Plus Sony distributes music items here and they distribute most Anime albums. If not them then guys like ADV Films and Manga do. Since Rayne is very aggro with things having copyright being on the disk we'll have to tread lightly to avoid getting trouble - that means serious research into copyright.... :x

Yeah skip the OST's and J/K/C and whatever. I'll just find it myself.

Have you heard Ayabie? How about Utada Hikaru?
But my fav so far has to be Hirano Aya. Her 'God Knows' is just brilliant.

Will give it a listen.
Heard a cool JPop song yesterday on streaming - can't remember the title but think it was Asian Kung-Fu Generation (should be JRock actually  ).

AKFG is the second best Rock band, second only to The Pillows.

I gotta check that AKFG band out. Some of the JRock really... rocks.
Utada Hikaru is brilliant too.
Faye Wong's 'Eyes on Me' is awesome. It's in English and it sounds like English too.
UH and FW are the slower types. The type that kinda soothes you.

For rock, Ayabie's 'Japanese Low Res Caramel Town' is not too bad. Heck I'll upload some of these later. God Knows first!

Himegoto, by SiLC - ED : Vandread , First Stage
(Secret)

[nee kizuite ita desho hontou ni hoshigatte ita kotoba]
(Hey, you realized what the words I really wanted to hear are, right?)
[mitasareteru furi ****** kokoro no fukaku ni sunderu fuangena watashi ga]
(They may satisfy me, but deep in my heart I am uneasy)
[hitohada yori mo sukoshi dake nurui kaze kodou hayamatte iku]
(In the lukewarm wind, with the closeness of your skin, my heartbeat quickened)
[tooi mirai o katatteru yokogao o mite ita]
(I was looking at your profile as you talked about the distant future)
[issho ni yume no okuchi e to tsurete itte yo nee kono karada goto]
(Take me with you to the depths of dreams. Hey, with all of my body)

[ai toiu na no pisutoru ga mune no mannaka uchinuku no]
(A pistol named love shoots through the center of my chest)
[kakebiki da to ka joushiki nante nan no imi mo motanai]
(Negotiations and common sense hold no meaning at all)
[ai toiu hikigane o hiite kootta kokoro uchinuite]
(Pull the trigger named love and and shoot through my frozen heart)
[yubi no saki made anata no ai o sosoide]
(Pour in your love to the tips of my fingers)

[nee wasurete iru desho imi mo naku kureta gin no koin]
(Hey, you're forgetting the meaningless silver coin I gave you, right?)
[nibuku hikaru houseki namida no shizuku de omoku natte kagayaite itta]
(The falling jewels of your tears grow, shining grayly)
[atashi dake ****** himegoto datta]
(It was a secret that only I knew )

[subete ushinatte shagamikomu tameiki yoake ni toketa]
(I squatted here as everything disappeared, sighing, dissolving as dawn broke)
(In this town, nothing helps, not even this shining quarter dollar in my hand)
[nokosareta omoi ga kureta yuuki o gyutto nigiri shimete]
(These left behind memories gave me the courage I clutched so tightly)
[yureru kokoro de aketeku sora o waratta]
(With a shaking heart, I smiled at the dawning sky)

[namaiki na kuchibiru nejifuserareta]
(Your brazen lips held me down)

[anata ga kureta nukumori dake ga mune no mannaka uchinuita]
(Only the warmth you gave me shoots through the center of my chest)
[kakehiki da to ka joushiki nante nan no imi mo motanai]
(Negotiations and common sense hold no meaning at all)
[ai toiu na no hikigane o hiite yogoreta tsubami uchinuite]
(Pull the trigger named love and shoot through this sullied flower bud)
[totte oki no ikareta kiss o mou ichido]
(One more time, repeat your best crazy kiss)

/ Non-official.

I liked this. Not the actual song, not the words, just the way it's sung.
