software piracy???

oh crap!!!
 I got good news... and bad news....
 the good news is that South Africa is beating the rest of the world in something....
 
 The bad news is.... It is piracy!!!!
 That includes software and movies...
 Everybody know how big Japan and Taiwan is with piracy... but it is sindicates that does all the piracy and sells them...
 What makes us soooo bad is that everyone is copying something...
 
 Now Japan they can find the BIG guy and bust them...
 But in South Africa... How do you catch 90% of the country from copying for example quake and unreal...????
 
 Now my point of this useless argument is...
 Everyone is ******ing about high prices of stuff...
 and the makers say buy more and we make cheaper...
 
 Well this is to all the lazy programmers and money hungry companys out there...
 MAKE IT WORTH OUR WHILE TO BUY THE ORIGINAL!!!!
 
 EXAMPLE...
 3D studio max... cost a lot but you get the hardware support with...
 Pinnicle studio... getting a video capturing card with...
 so here is a few ideas...
 
 the next windows... sell it with a pc that is garanteed not to crash it...
 racing game... get a free steering wheel with... (and not a crap one)
 next 1st person shooter... a pair of vr goggles with...
 
 this way you cannot copy it because it needs the hardware to work... and we wont mind spending R5000 for a cd that cost R5 to copy... because the stuff is actually worth tha money...
 
 what do you guys think... am I talking crap or is it actually making sense???

S.A is not the biggest software piracy country.
 
 Vietnam is with 94% of piracy form there
 
 then its Thailand and the rest of those Asian countries. This is not from the top of my head.

It´s a good idea and incentive to buy games legally, but it would mean 1 of 2 things :
 
 1.Either the hardware manufacturer make a deal and the hardware is only bundled with the game in question.
 
 or
 
 2. The same company develops both the game and the hardware required to play it.
 
 Now there´s another problem : if a game is sold only with Hardware, it would easily cost more than twice the game would have cost by itself... <IMG SRC="images/forum/smilies/icon_frown.gif">

What happens if I want to buy two racing games. Will I have to buy to diffrent steering wheel for each game.

 It also defeats the piont of making st!t cheaper when it will push the price up?

ok... so some of it sound like a crap idea...
 but at least you get a radeon 9800 pro with your doom3??? heh heh
 
 vietnam is big on piracy.. cause they copy and resell... SA copy from friends an use privatly... which is worse... remember you can catch a sindicate... but cannot catch everyone... and everyone in SA has copied something some time or another... if you have a PC and NEVER copied anything... you are full of crap and should be shot for being a lier... (or from having a pc and not knowing what do do with it)
 
 heh heh... just thought I should mention the hardware idea so we can get the stuff they have overseas... like VR goggles... shock vests... (this is great... play quake... get shot and get electo-shock... no more gun and run...) and with the hardware bundled... well at least you know it is compatable... and work 100%... money back garantee...
 
 I had a baseball game... it was a crap game... but with the bat (4 controller) it was great... you swing it like a real bat... at least it cept me buzy for a while... not like james bond nightfire... or unreal2... played each one once... payed a fortune... but finished them both in 2 days...
 
 I just want a game that I will not feel like I wasted my money on it... look at enter the matrix... i got a athlone xp 2000, with 512mb ddr ram and ati 7500... but the graphics looks like crap on my ati... so another R500 wasted????
