Wanna know something INSANE about that ad? That is all REAL. They used four accords to do that. Nothing in that ad was done with CGI, it was all filmed. I can't remember where i read that but i was blown away when i did.

Man even after watching that ad again, i find it so hard to believe that that was real... I remember reading it somewhere very reliable though...

Incredible...

Apparently is it all true without any CGI.

See here and here

BUT - I still dont think its true - how can a tyre run UP a slope with a little bump like that?

The only part that I see would need to be edited would be the tires running up the slope. If you look, it starts slowly, and then suddenly picks up speed on the slope...

Other than that, it is an AMAZING ad... Really well done, even if it was CGI...
http://www.steelcitysfinest.com/HondaAccordAd.htm wrote:.The sequence where the tires roll up a slope looks particularly impressive but is very simple. Steiner says that there is a weight in each tire and when the tire is knocked, the weight is displaced and in an attempt to rebalance itself, the tire rolls up the slope
Makes sense, but still seem a little TOO much speed it picks up...

I agree with you slasher. Also, maybe even the car stopping at the end - looks like a bit of human intervention there too.

But yeah, overall awesome ad.

Aha! Now the tire running up a slope makes sense too. I actually read that the ad was all real BEFORE i watched it and when i saw the tire i was a bit skeptical (lol skeptical with a "K"?!).But if there was a weight in there, it would make perfect sense.

I was thinking they could have used a weight, but it must have been HELLISHLY heavy to pull the wheel up that ramp the way it did...

Perfect balancing they had...

I just read the links I posted. The urban legends one has that part explained at the end.

See frequently asked questions about ad.

They did use a weight.
