Yeah people, I would like to get this off the ground again!
Right, the page has been updated and as soon as I get confirmation of payment to the Durban SPCA I'll let you know; I'll post the thank you letter as soon as I receive it too. You will see that we aren't sponsoring a kennel at the Durban SPCA but donating towards their relocation. The cost to sponsor a kennel would be R5 000 which is a bit out of our reach currently.
Unfortunately we did not receive a thank you letter from the CT SPCA, so I can't post that.
Now for the next one. As you will see we are only slightly short of R1 000 but I'm sure I can arrange that here at the office. So, where should we go next?

How about more Pretoria side? Or PMB?
Im trying to think of places with lots of people, as that is usually where biggest need is...

@Cameron
Doesn't seem as though people are overly keen on supporting this?
Guess there's no point in flogging a dead horse?

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Roodepoort / Randburg with a meet
I would have to say Pretoria SPCA if you want to tackle another big center, but I myself like the SPCA at Northgate.
But yeah, any SPCA would be fine actually...

I know the SPCA in Secunda, Mpumalanga is really in trouble and needs all the help it can get.
When i was last there Nov 2007 they had a huge shortage of kennels and blankets.
Cameron, let me know if you want their number.

BUMP from the past.
I think its time to get this one up and running again.
Who is in? Im thinking this could be done in conjunction with the JHB meet?
From my side Advanced Creation Media will donate R500 towards this cause.

lol
Its the least I can do. Im hooked on Animal cops at the moment
It will be for the Randburg SPCA again.
If we have enough people I will get a bank account ready to accept the payments and on the day the amount will be handed over to the SPCA.

I can't see Cameron et al ripping us of in such a public manner on purpose.
Maybe he/they have lost interest or are too busy?
I paid money in on the 10th of June and PM'ed Cameron as arranged. PM'ed again on 22nd querying if he'd received my measly few hundred bucks.
Remebered the issue again on 5 November - finally:To which he replied on the 6th:doo_much wrote:Hi Cameron,
So is the SPCA kennel thing dead?
You never confirmed my donation - and no sign of my name on the list?
An update would be REALLY nice. And I'm still waiting.Cameron_Losco wrote:Oh, damn, I'll get onto it ASAP.
Sorry!
It ain't the money but the principle....
Sorry. No offence.
But I will not be partaking this time round.
Still don't know what happened to the last money I donated and would rather spend in a more direct manner...
