MXIT - FREE chat/messenger for your cell!
MXIT.co.za
"MXit is a message exchange program for your cell phone. That means you can chat to people on their PC's and to other MXit users on their mobiles, from your mobile, anywhere in the world. Communication has never been easier.
With MXit, you can send a message of up to 2000 characters. It's great for organizing a night out, or simply saying hello. And not only can you chat to other MXit users, but you can also connect to MSN messenger, ICQ, Google Talk or Jabber communities.
You can download MXit for FREE. That's right. It's absolutely FREE. And best of all, to send a message costs you less than 1 cents per message. (That is 2 South African cents and is billed by your service provider and added to your GPRS data cost) That's because MXit runs on GPRS/3G. (The technology that connects your mobile to the Internet) Great way to cut down on your SMS bill, isn't it?"
This is really cool!

Well, that sucks. I don't have the phone that can use such an app. (Nokia 3330 anyone?)
But I'm not really complaining. I don't really need such a thing like that anyway. You see, all I really need a cellphone for is so that I can make emergency calls.

Well every now and again mXit queries the server, and that is counted as data transfer by Vodacom, so you'll get billed for that, albeit a miniscule amount.
If you're sitting on a wap site on your phone, you wont get billed at all while your on that page - its only when new content is loaded or a new page is accessed that data transfer occurs, and you get billed.

i should probably add you sumtime, i just have your msn added.
@ Eraser, i'm on almost every night, your contact shows offline, last time u chatted to me it still said offline.
If someone seems to constantly be offline you should delete them then invite them again.. that should fix the problem.
