I haven't heard that, but it's entirely possible. Man your bottom will be numb after that! I've heard rumours that Return of The King on its own will have a running time of 4 hours or more... 8O

If you don't pay to see it, you have no right to see it unless someone else paid for you or you were given the non pirated DVD as a gift. You should be ashamed of yourself!

Well you're the one who's constantly talking about how you've downloaded movies, mp3's, and whatever else from Kazaa despite this forum's anti piracy policy. You can't justify what you do by what one celebrity says on the news - if you can't pay for something, don't use it! Would you walk into a shop and steal a loaf of bread just because you didn't feel like paying for it?

funny u only accuse me of piracy when i can count dozen persons who are guilty of the same crime.
don't tell me u've neva copied something illegaly and if u say no u deserve to be shot for lieing.
and what do u mean i can't justify it
damn well i can. U think its fair for them to charge us 120 bucks for a cd tht cost 10 rands to make. fark tht shyte i will download and continue to download they'll have to pry my cold dead fingers from this keyboard, send me to jail if u want.
2nd i neva endorsed piracy, i just stated views (ain't tht the whole point of the net every little farker in the world is given a voice)
i neva once shouted on top of my lungs PIRACY IS GOOD, PIRATE MORE.

The difference, Skunky, is that when you have the option of downloading a movie ( pirated ) or going to the movies and paying for your ticket, like 90% of the rest of the world do, you choose the piracy option. You seem to always want something for nothing and that's not how the world works.
I have said before, I do have a couple of pirated games, but 75% of my games are original and legal. I have about 3 or 4 mp3's which I don't have on original CD. I do not have one single pirated movie. Not one. Never had any.
The R10 per CD argument is a very weak one. Why should someone pay you R50 an hour if you're a PC techician (for arguments sake) when they can find someone else who'll do the work for R10 an hour instead?

unlikely, unless i die and i'm banished to hell for piracy but then again so is the rest of the movie and music industry going down with me.mxo21011 wrote:If skunky is wrong, then he'll get what he deserves - eventually.

Technically, most of us are pirates.
Legally speaking, taping a movie shown on TV is a form of piracy, as is hiring a DVD and then showing it to a large group of people.
I watch a movie at the cinema almost every week, but I also watch pirated DVD's (I watched Tomb Raider II last night).
So what?
I legally own alot of movies, games, music and software - most of it was pirated, and I then bought it when I felt it was worth my money.
I download tons of stuff off Kazaa. If its worth the exhorbitant price they ask for the stuff, I will buy it, otherwise, it stays on my machine as warez, or gets deleted.
I am going to buy Homeworld 2 - cause the demo rocked.
I'm a bit more try-before-you-buy than steal-instead-of-buy.
