Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
Sorry. Been an exhausting week or two. Have had barely any personal time.
And the last two days I have had the weirdest dreams which turns what could be a full night's sleep into me lying in bed for hours in the morning because I feel totally dysfunctional...

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
Sorry about the dreams. Are they that disturbing? Remember it is just your brain either trying to distract you or work through something. The sooner you work out what it is - the sooner you will get good sleep.
Yes work has been hectic. But everything seems to take longer when you are working from home (well for me it does). Time just disappears. We play a game called Ingress - and every first Saturday of the month we have FS. It is a social/battle in the game. We meet up - battle and then have beers and milkshakes. We did our first online one. I am one of the orgas. Usually we are done in 4 hours. Yesterday we started the Zoom at 10:30 and were still on by 4. Got the pictures and spreadsheet ready for submission and were still chatting on Telegram by 8pm. That is the longest FS I have ever held

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
It usually is like this for people working from home who don't usually do it... it's like you wake up in the morning and do your routine and have breakfast and coffee and then POOF!!! It's time to make supper and you wonder where the day went... You know you did some work and have the evidence of it but you can't remember...
Then there are those days when you are in the office and very busy during the morning and feels as if it should be home time but then after a while you look at the clock and POOF!!! It's not even teabreak time... It's very sad...

This exactly. Time at home is very different from the time out there.KatrynKat wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 10:21It usually is like this for people working from home who don't usually do it... it's like you wake up in the morning and do your routine and have breakfast and coffee and then POOF!!! Nope - it seems as though they are on a Stay@home break and not willing to commit to small projects.

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
They see it as a much needed sabbatical. They reckon that they are going to be inundated with work once the lockdown is relaxed

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
They wouldn't consider practising doing work so that they are not overwhelmed next year, would they?
