I remember the language filter being quite interesting at times and often new words needed to be added.Members liked testing the word filter.Ah the good ole days....I wonder where my hero QBM is...That man was a legend.
Then again, I won most valuable contributor or something in 2011 or 2012, so I guess it wasn't that bad. Bit more of a SJW these days lol.

It is good to remember who we used to be. Gives us more reason to like who we are now (or motivation to change )KALSTER wrote: ↑31 Mar 2020, 17:20I don't even want to look at the old religious threads.....I used to be...aggressive.wizardofid wrote: ↑31 Mar 2020, 16:02 Wow, actually had a look at the forum, can't believe compared to a website like mybb how strict the forum actually was, I understand we had quite a bit of under age members at the time, so it was to be expected. Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
Bit of a boring answer, but the first thread ever created on the forum would have been created by the forum installer, back in the day -- forum installers tend to create a demo section with a demo thread and post in it. And that would have been deleted by Cameron very quickly...
The oldest thread on the forum currently is this one. Interestingly, it shows that the forum back in the day used some rather primitive forum software, based on the (evidently hideous) HTML parsing -- thankfully, things have evolved since then.

good day all!
There comes a time for every vampire when the idea of eternity becomes momentarily unbearable. Living in the shadows, feeding in the darkness with only your own company to keep, rots into a solitary, hollow existence.

Me too - and the work just keeps coming in. Not that I am not grateful - I am. But I was hoping to sit around in my PJs and game all day. Perhaps catch up on the Anime I don't get to see. And some series I am far behind in. Ah well.SykomantiS wrote: ↑01 Apr 2020, 15:32 Well there are lots of things I want to do, but work gets in the way.

Yup, but he can read the message once he has woken up. Here, if he logs on to PCFF before FB, or vice versa.

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
Haven't changed anything with PMs... what error message are you getting?
EDIT: Just checked in the admin panel, and it's definitely not permissions related. The only private message permission that you don't have is the ability to use the Flash BBCode in private messages, but that's true for everyone on the forum given its insecurities and imminent lack of support.
I'm impressed that you got that spot on, considering that Daylight Savings ended 2 hours before your post!
