Five months later Jen was diagnosed with breast cancer. From Angelo’s blog: “I remember the exact moment…Jen’s voice and the numb feeling that enveloped me. That feeling has never left. I’ll also never forget how we looked into each other’s eyes and held each other’s hands. ‘We are together, we’ll be ok.’”
Throughout her battle, Angelo decided to photograph it. He wanted to humanize the face of cancer on the face of his wife. The photos speak for themselves.

As per the Rat's request, here's some photos from my new part of the world:
Kia kaha, Kia māia, Kia manawanui.
Re: Photography - (max 640px X 480px allowed!)
very nice. but i think they need to change the name of the place. "upper hutt" sounds like a delapidated beach house. like you should be living in a tiny, backwards, welsh village.

I've actually got very few photos in and around Upper Hutt itself. Those will have to wait for post-lockdown.

Though, I do have this...
Just outside Upper Hutt, off State Highway 2 before the climb up and over the Remutaka Pass, is Kaitoke Regional Park. It was used for filming the Rivendell scenes:

Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away ere break of day
To seek our pale enchanted gold.
