Ah that one.

Yeah the problem with that one is that I am asking questions that are not easily answered. Right now I seem to be arguing with myself though... :(

I was kinda hoping for an analysis of research methodology, and perhaps a primer on Statistics. :-p

Sorry I can't take them seriously until they change their name to something not associated with warp drive and point-eared people.

I stopped bothering to argue. Nowadays I just make a statement and continue on my way. If people don't like it, whatever. Most of the time, arguing a well thought out case with someone that has no clue, ends up like a Brawndo case. I see it every day at work.

In the case of embryonic stem cell research, the scientists should just shut up about it and continue. Many times whining will stop if you just ignore in long enough.

It's reached the point where we're just rehashing stuff that's already been debated over and over in this thread. I don't have the time for that right now.

CAR out of nowhere to 16? Plus--I stand to be corrected here--I think that this is the first time an African country has made the Top 5.

Puzzling indeed, I thought the conflict there was tribal.

Please stand, Somalia was 5 last year.

North Korea still Best Korea.

Altho to be fair Xtians shouldn't be all victimy about NK, they are truly equal opportunity religious persecutors

If it wasn't for the crippling famine and very poor internet I'd consider moving there. I hear Kim Jong's porn collection is quite extensive...

Touching on the persecution of a much lesser publicised religion.... my very good friends the Satanists are doing some culling of their less devoted members:
www.metalsucks.net wrote:Fan Murders Black Metal Singer for Allegedly Being a False Satanist

I’m not familiar with the Thai black metal band Surrender of Divinity, although I know Grim Kim is a fan; in any case, their 36-year-old vocalist, Samong Traisattha, was murdered last Wednesday, January 8, according to The Bangkok Post.

The murderer is believed to be a fan named Prakarn Harnphanbusakorn, who Samong Traisattha’s widow, Jaruvan Surapol, says came to the house Wednesday night “to have some shirts screen-printed and to have a drink.” She went to put their child to bed; when she came back to the living room, she found her husband lying on the floor, dead, in a pool of his own blood, and Prakarn gone.

And this would obviously be horrible in and of itself no matter what, but the story has a even more unsettling twist: while the police continue to search for Prakarn, a Facebook user calling himself ”Maleficent Meditation” is claiming credit for the murder, and authorities believe that it is, indeed, legitimate. The page includes some incredibly graphic photograph’s of Samong Traisattha’s corpse, a description of how Prakarn stabbed Samong thirty times while the vocalist begged for his life, as well as an explanation as to his motive for the murder:

“I have intended to end my life since I was 25. Because I’ll die eventually, I want to drag down those who tarnish Satanism with me. But I refrained from killing women and children…In my view, I have more respect for devoted Buddhists, Christians and Muslims than those who call themselves Satanists without knowing anything about it… If I did not kill him, I’m sure he would be murdered by someone else later… above all else, Satan is not a toy. Do not call yourself a Satanist if you do not believe in Satan!!!”
