And there certain things- and maybe it's just me and physics- that immediately make you go WTF? But that's a huge spoiler that I won't go into now.
I hate this. It means the animator spent 0 seconds thinking about the physics. Case in point: Blade 2, the fight scene in front of the flood lights...
Point A: It is Gi-Joe

Point B: After noting point A, all ideas of realism in said film went out the window...

Point C: Did anyone catch the trailer for this flick? I sadly did and I don't think there is a single action scene that occurs in the film, that they DIDN"T show in the trailer...Of all the trailers that I do unfortunately view, this has to be the worst one for 2013 thus far...

Not all that bad. Plus a major part of the storyline isn't mentioned at all- not that you watch this type of movie for the story, but anyway...
I'd say that trailer doesn't really give away all that much.

Things this movie has going for it:
great director
great actors
not done by micheal bay or anyone associated with fast and furious

I watched this sneak peak 2 weeks ago. The most impressive thing is that they got the actual cars from the era, and there is no use of CGI, its all real racing. Thank the lordah!

Watched Gi-Joe last night at the movies, pretty disappointing and some terrible forced comedy. I actually really liked the first movie not sure what they were thinking with this one.

6/10 I still enjoyed parts of it :o

Haha, at least some viewers are enjoying it...somewhat lol...

I viewed 3 films over the weekend...

Zombie Apocalypse DC - Low Budget zombie flick starring Ving Rhamse. It had some potential and a few cool zombie ideas. I also liked how they were careful of the enviroment they were in and acted like a proper survival group...a few themes were stolen from The Walking Dead. However, the film is let down by disasterous CGI, acting and eventual flow/plot of the story, making it stale.

Devils of War - Another low budget feature involving a group of soldiers who have to stop an evil Nazi general from raising demonic soldiers. Yes, this is the flick I viewed haha. It was really bad, however I did like certain parts of the cinematography and camera views. So it was more of an information watch per se, as everything else about the film brought it down and was beyond terrible.

Lastly, Lord of the Flies (1990) - I viewed this film MANY a year ago, so I felt a rewatch was in order! I really enjoyed it, though I did wish it a little longer to give us more depth on the different characters, as it does seem kinda rushed at times. Upon finishing the picture, I did some reading and found there was a '63 version of the movie too, one with much better reviews than the later addition. Track it down and give it a watch I need too!

I viewed "The Lords of Salem" last night...

6/10 - Man, what a trippy flick. Not one of Rob Zombies best, it seems like he was going for a slow brooding, imagery horror this time around instead of guts and gore...aaaand it didn't really work. I did like the camera work though...

Viewed a couple of films this weekend...

Maniac - 7/10 - Really cool and brutal slasher remake of the 1980 cult classic. I love the cinematography in this film, idealizing the perfect way to represent the killer.

Movie 43 - 6.5/10 - Crazy film anthology that will appeal to certain viewers. I enjoyed it for the most part, made me go WTF and LOL at the same time...

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2013) - 3/10

What a load of horse *****. It pisses me off when horror's like this are produced AND make it to the big screen, as all they do is give the genre bad name. The whole film is basically one big plot hole and didn't need to see the light of day. Even the gore was lame, with a bunch of lackluster kills. Pathetic.

Yes! Yes, you must...

Yep, this one tries to continue the story from the original 1974 film and falls straight onto its FACE...

I went and viewed "Iron Man 3" last night and thoroughly enjoyed it!

A solid superhero feature it be. Much better than Iron Man 2, however I am noticing a few people are rather disappointed with it, which I find weird, but they are entitled to their opinions.

Great cast, amazing special effects/visuals, extremely funny dialogue and an above average story.

8/10
