Need help buying Gershwin CD for my bro.

Post by StarPhoenix »

Hi.

Thanks to some rather silly laws, I cannot buy the following collection of MP3s from Amazon. [I cannot find the CD in East London.]

I would very much appreciate it if one of you could help me to track down the below EMI Classic compilation of Gershwin composition as conducted by Simon Rattle, either in physical form or digital form:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gershwin-Rhapso ... _album_lnk

Thank you

It's available on the South African iTunes store for R45.00. If you can stomach the DRM.

Gnope. Can only be played on devices registered to your account. Unless you burn said album to CD, then it can be listened to on anything.

Apple has made the iThings a venerable cesspit of DRM, so, no.

It appears that such silly laws are only applicable to the digital download. I tried my luck with the physical version and got far enough in the checkout process to enter my credit card details (at which point I bailed out).

Your mileage may however vary.

^^ Unless it's a technical issue that's security related (and thus should not be discussed openly until I've had a chance to patch it), I've initiated the conversation, or have explicitly requested that the conversation be initiated, do NOT send me private messages. Those that ignore this are likely to receive a warning on the spot, and that's if I'm feeling particularly warm and fuzzy towards the miscreant (and I feel warm and fuzzy towards no-one on this forum). Just leave me well alone unless you have a very good reason not to, and all parties concerned will be better off for it.
