The LFA is probably the exception(still not as exciting as its European rivals) but the rest of the range are boring on the outside and even more so on the insideSykomantiS wrote:I don't really see anything boring about a 240kW, 400Nm "glorifed toyota" - and that's only the entry spec V8 motors they have, not even LFA's and such
True, even Alfa's dont spend all day breaking down anymore. But yep people who dont even know where the engine is in their car are quick to point out that expensive cars fall apartSykomantiS wrote:And no, not all new cars fall apart after 5 years, it's a general misconception brought on by those not caring for their vehicles. The fact that your 13yo merc is still in such good condition speaks more to your (and your family's) view of looking after your possessions than anything else.
Well yes but also before 2000 Mercedes were like tanks. They were built to last for a 1000 years, there are still many W124 and W123 series cars around, many of which are unfortunately owned by the sort who dont look after anything but they still continue to function.
