Cleaning out

Post by StarBound »

I'm moving in 1 months time and its been a month of threatening to throw out the old magazines. As I was doing so I could see the last 13 years of my life go by aswell as the technology I went thru as I was dumping PCF and NAG magazines from my closet.

Looking at the mags with a cover of Dungeon Seige 2 on, a PCF mag from over 2 years back with the i7 on, a computer mag with a radeon 9700pro, the models of the old days of PCF, and ending with a cover of David from silver as my first NAG mag.

My oh my how times gone by.

Yeah but I still have the demo discs from the mags. No idea how long I will keep them. They are literally gathering dust. Look back at what you needed to play them. 166mmx with 32mb ram, they were on CDs, not even DVDs. Look at the later stuff that needed 400-500mhz pcs and they needed 16mb gfx cards. Then the silent time when both mags dropped discs because it hit R50 a mag thanks to the Rand dollar rate having skyrocketed. Ect ect ect.

Just interesting to look at the few years tech moved at a lightning pace and then the past few years were nothing really developed.
