And in further news . . .
However, the survey, conducted for drug store Superdrug, also found men spent £302.64 ($539) less on grooming products than women over the course of a year.

The most popular beauty products to make it into a man's bathroom included hair wax, moisturiser and shavers.

The find suggests that the rugged, unkempt look of celebrities such as Brad Pitt and Russell Crowe are now out of favor with men, who are instead being inspired by cleaner cut men such as David Beckham, Zac Efron, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Once upon a time it was cool for men to appear rough and ready, looking like they hadn't spend more than a couple of minutes getting ready in a morning." Simon Comins, Superdrug's director of toiletries, said.

"But these days, everyone appreciates a man who takes care of his appearance, smells nice and looks like he has made an effort."

I read / heard something about this phenomenon. It's got to do with the pill. More specifically the pill causes women to experience the same mindset they would usually have after giving childbirth. During this time their hormones make them desire soft / non-threatening mates.

Or something like that.

The main gist is: chemicals are making women like pansies and girly men.

At the same time chemicals in our water are increasing men's estrogen levels, making them into pansies and big girly-girls.

that's why I only drink beer and battery acid.

/Since we are throwing in men surveys...

Typical iPad buyers are pet owners, males and gamers, study says [infographic]

Men, pet owners and gamers are the most likely consumers to purchase an iPad, a new infographic from Bluekai reveals. Bluekai compiled data from Comscore and Nielsen to create the infographic, which identifies a variety of customers who might buy an iPad based on a 1-100 correlation scale. The aforementioned target markets — men, pet owners and video game buyers — were listed as “highly likely” to purchase an iPad. Scientists or health care workers, international travelers, proponents of organic food, vitamin takers, apartment dwellers and domestic business travelers were also listed as “very likely” to purchase the tablet. Bluekai also cited Comscore, which said that 45.9% of all tablet owners are members of a household that has an annual income of $100,000 or more. The full infographic follows below.

I find myself agreeing with jamin.

I don't use male "beauty" products. I don't even buy cologne or the more expensive deodorants.....and I am in and out of a shower in about 5 minutes or less-unless I am washing my hair.

Well, if this helps, my morning routine goes something like this:
  • Woken up by alarm (at around 06:50)
  • Crawl out of bed around 20 mins later
  • Crawl off to kitchen for a strong cup of Jacobs
  • Hit the shower, get dressed
  • Coffee is by now at a drinkable temperature, so it gets consumed
  • Back to kitchen to make some cereal
  • Eat cereal while catching up on mails, forums, auctions in WoW, etc.
  • Shave, clean teeth, etc.
  • Make the bed
  • Wash any leftover dirty dishes from the previous night that may be lying around
  • Leave the flat no later than 08:20 (10 minutes earlier if the car needs petrol), drive around to fetch two people that I give lifts to, usually make it into the office by 08:45 depending on how many people feel like occupying the same stretch of the N2 at the same time as me.
The "catching up on mails, forums, etc." bit usually happens at a rather leisurely pace. :P

Real men sleep on the discarded clothes of women who have frequented their domicile, and eat off paper plates... or no plates at all!

Men with style take an hour and a half to groom themselves in the morning.

Though with iRon's stature, he can probably wash himself in a fraction of the time it takes most of us.

Rattie, you do know that this is as skewed as the first research ne? Now I cannot speak for Rajiv - that might be the deciding factor, but the rest of us lasses are easy going.... However, it takes much longer to wake up.... if you count that to the picture ;)
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.
