Oh come on. I am not paying them for their fire jumping expertise. I am paying them for their knowledge on how to best service my car

I know, I am just playing.......I understand why you would listen to everything they say, because they are supposed to know best(but I wonder about that sometimes)

Seriously loving it. Never realised how much time could be wasted looking for apps and customising the phone and related apps

Gordon Ramsay Cookbook.
_______________________________________________________

Caramel Banana Surprize - less than 10 minutes.

1. 2/3 bananas, peeled, cut in 3-4 cm chunks
2. 1 cup of sugar
3. 1/2 cup of brandy or rum
4. 1/4 finely chopped chilli pepper (red)
5. 1/3 cup of coconut milk
6. cinnamon powder
7. ice-cream

Preheat a non-stick pan, add the cup of sugar and 50% of the brandy / rum, with chopped chillies.
Allow sugar to caramelise.
Add chopped bananas, roll in caramel syrup until nicely glazed and warmed through.
Don't cook into a pulp.
Add remainder of brandy / rum, flambe, by setting alcohol alight.
Add coconut milk.
Add 2 or 3 cinnamon teaspoons.
Roll/shake pan to allow coco milk and cinnamon to blend.
Immediately after that, scoop 3/4/5 pieces of banana and some syrup into a dessert dish, add a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

Enjoy.

THE_STIG wrote:Did they say you must replace the disks? They always insist that you do that, even though it is not really necessary(they just want your money). My car still has the original disks on it, but I do need to start thinking about skimming them as there is a slight lip forming around the edge of the disks.
When I had trouble with my brakes and the disks, I went to Alfa directly (they manufacture brakes, disks, the lot - not at all affiliated with Alfa Romeo). There is nothing wrong with skimming a disk. It is acceptable and there is no risk to you. As long as you're above the minimum, you'll be fine.

Much cheaper than replacing disks.

Just know that if you skim and they happen to warp, then there is some sort of underlying problem. I talk from experience!

I am totally materialistic when it comes to my car - I love her. She gets only the best (while I can still afford it). I drive long distances and I often have the tribblets with me. If the Renault dealer says I should replace them - I will replace them. Rather gullible than sorry.

NRG - the stuff is vile but I do feel more awake on it. (and a whole lot of other stuffs)

You listen to what the dealers say? They must see you coming a mile away.

Skimmed the discs on my previous Audi at about 170,000km's, no problems at all afterwards.
