Re: The Hobby Thread
Are those on some sort of subscription, or did you just buy them individually? You planning on sticking to cars?

Bought them individually. Don't think so. I saw some awesome planes as well A friend of mine build models of ships that also looks great, but they are quite pricey.
Will see how it goes after these 2.

I'm sure that there's a thread like this already. If I find it, I'll merge them.
Kia kaha, Kia māia, Kia manawanui.

My dad and I used to do model ships when I was a kid. I loved it. Stopped when I hit high school. I'd love to get into it again.
I'm sure the redhead would love to get "into" it too!

Thanks Ron.
There are some great kits out there. Wouldn't believe how detailed some of them are. Think I'll give everything a shot and decide from there on what it will be... cars, bikes, aircrafts, ships etc.

Same, I used to do aircraft. I may still have a box hidden somewhere in SA filled with aircraft and one PT boat. My problem is the painting, I suck at it and it spoils things when the paint is badly done. Would not mind getting back into it.

Re: Hobbies!
That's true. If the paint doesn't look good it can ruin the model. I've read a lot of guides online about what paints/primers to use as well as techniques. You will obviously get better the more you practiceParabuthus wrote:Same, I used to do aircraft. I may still have a box hidden somewhere in SA filled with aircraft and one PT boat. Yeah, I have an old B-17G that I just did an all over silver as they often did not paint the later G models to save weight. My Mirage F-1 was so terribly painted it never got hung.
