dude if u read the thread properly, we arent asking for people to play games with, we wana find more people in the area that are into the more enthusiast side of pc's not just gaming.... slim and i both would kill to learn more, and would also love to get into modding properly as a hobbie, so would be awesome to see it first hand...

That's why we gota start our own shop jelly! But then again all the business is in jhb, I'm not too sure if a shop that sells high end equipment would make a lot of money. I rate pcZone is coining it but they cater to the general pc user, nothing high end. They stock a 580 but that's about it. No one knows anything there, I'd like to get some kinda experience working there but I would be teaching them things and u work crazy hours. So I think if they bought maybe 5 high end mobos, cpus, cases etc with each batch of stock they would make more business. Maybe employ someone who knows what they talking about and sell enthusiast equipment, they would make a lot more.

That's just my own idea, and I'll write reviews for them and put it on their site!

Because people who really know their stuff can't wait for job opportunities at PC Zone and Matrix Warehouse.

Actually the amount of people who think they "know their stuff" because their PC is in the top 100 on PCMark or some other triviality is astounding.
Just because you keep abreast of the latest PC technology and know how to install a water cooling setup with SLI or Crossfire does not automatically mean you should be working in the IT industry earning top dollar.

Ya I guess you're right Stuart:) never thought of it that way! There's always vacancies there when I walk past, and then there's always a few new people.

But also isn't it a good idea to employ someone with their A+ minimum! Because everyone on this forum seems to think pc zone staff don't know what they're selling. They probably have to pay a little higher salary but that way they don't get this bad image from pc communities

Actually, all they need is someone who's actually clued up on hardware and general Windows usage.

PC Zone is not the place for a top dollar earner to find a career.
