I'd love to attend it sometime, that way I could meet a lot of the computer community. You Gauteng guys are really lucky! Everything is up there! Expos, concerts, computer suppliers. Jelly and I have to budget the cost of shipping our parts! I'm paying R190 to get my case shipped down here! And in september jelly and I are going on a roadtrip up to jhb for the rAge expo!
KillerByte and myself helped start that off, by the way. Last I heard, they'd lost their venue (was being demolished) and are still on the lookout for a new one.

We should have. We did everything - short of the cage fighting. You would not get me to put those suits on.

Iv never met a girl who has an interest in computers! They're a bit of a myth haha! Jelly and I will arrange accomodation for the rAge weekend, even if we camp outside! And then we will meet u guys, and girls!

And stig the beach is so overrated hey! Its boring to me!

Latest news I'm holding a lan at my place! Guess how many people are coming? Wait for it..... 3! The jelly, a friend who plays games casually but has no interest in computers, and myself! Now that's sad!

No - that can be tons of fun. Depends on how you look at it.

And there are tons of girls that go to rAge. Granted - some only go for the Anime and the cosplay - but hey I don't think you will complain ;-) There are lots of girl gamers. And I am real - no myth. But then I am too old to be called a girl  So I don't count. ;-)

@ron2k the frag lan was held at edgewood college wasn't it? Well that building is still standing, its a FET college. There's bound to be a venue somewhere around here!

And stig that's a really good idea! How about rAge moves venue to Durban haha!

"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

I'm keen! Super keen! And anakha by enthusiasts I mean guys who are really into computers. We spend ridiculous amounts of money on hardware and we specifically pick our hardware to suit our needs. Where as a general computer user needs any computer to read his/her emails.

And just as a side note is being a forum administrator your job? Or is it a side job?

Ya that and not just buying a pc to meet gaming requirements and knowing y certain components are faster than others, not just cause the model number has a higher value...
As slim said a person that chooses their hardware for a reason, is into overclocking, modding, benchmarking, cooling or just keeping up with the latest tech releases...

And ya dude super keen. Slim and I would be there in a heartbeat...

Most of the forum staff do the job in their spare time. Until just a few years ago, Anakha's spare time consisted of baking choc chip muffins, listening to Celine Dion music and watching reruns of Dawson's Creek. The then-üBer-Admin of PCF offered him R3.50 an hour to keep QBM and Moses at bay and he jumped at the opportunity. Its his primary source of income now.

QBM and Moses still run rampant.

That's awesome! Seems like a great job to do in your spare time!

@katrynkat so if your not a computer enthusiast then what would you call yourself? You have a general interest in computers,or blogging and forums? And doing the snacs and being the barlady would be a huge help!! :)

I think I'd enjoy it. I don't see any negative sides to it? But then again I'm looking at it from my point of view. I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes of this forum:)
