Holy Cow!!!

Aus 32/0 on the 7th over. Haddin and Watson are letting loose!

That's a very disjointed article. It makes it sound like the poor dude is suffering from clinical depression because his bowling gets smacked all over the park. That's hardly warrant to call in a replacement, imho.

That's about 4.5 to the over. Not exactly setting the world alight, but steady going nevertheless.

And there (barring a successful review) goes Watson.

Edit: NVM, I'm guessing they're not going to call for a review for a player being clean bowled.

And Watson is out. 40/1 Watson made 25 of 35b.

Aus seems to be going through a bit of a slow patch.

145/3 after 32...

Make that four. Ponting is standing firm today. Good sign for Australia.

Only if Pakistan is batting and Shahid Afridi is at the crease. :D

Isn't it strange that whenever a player plays a good knock and starts coming back into form after a bad patch the rest of the team usually has an off day?

True. Then he'd probably use the second review to challenge the first one.

Speaking of reviews, I missed India's two reviews. I see they've used them both unsuccessfully for a change. :P

Both the reviews were wasted. The lbw was clearly going above the wickets. As for the catch... *shakes head*

Is it just me or do you also find it rather depressing as a non-Australian that Ponting has decided to find form right now? :x

 Stu making a mountain out of a mole hill

This total they have is not big enough, they need at least another 40 runs...

I dunno. Ponting said at the toss that 250 would be a reasonable score, and he normally reads pitches pretty well.

I'm actually happy for him. He's a class player. And now that he's scored a hundred, he can go for a low score in the next two games.

Happy for him. Not so happy for any team that has to bowl to him.

How is the pitch playing? Can India chase this down?

I only actually saw a few overs at lunchtime. It looked like a typical Indian wicket to me. I think it'll slow as the game goes on, but that said, Australia don't really have class spinners, so it may not make too much difference. I reckon it'll definitely be more difficult to bat on second, but 250-260, whilst not easy, is not out of India's reach.

AUS 260/6 (50 Ovs)

I have to agree with Stuart.... This might not be a simple walk in the park for Australia.
