Muslims treat the Koran with a lot more reverence than Christians treat bibles. The sad fact is that while a lot of people do follow the teachings of Islam to the letter, to them the letter usually ends in "Durka Durka Jihad".

From what I have gleaned just about anything anyone says or does in the west is an insult to Islam in some way or form.
You don't have to look further than your friendly Islamic country to see what the Religion of Peace™ is all about.
It's the mandatory enforcement of some truly medieval rules, the curtailing of freedoms and the furthering of a set of values that demeans women and keeps people ignorant.
But hey, if it works for them, that's great - just don't tell me that Islam peaceful.
Sure it is on paper and when you are going out of your way not to displease these people, but the second you express an opinion or view about them that they don't like, peace flies out the window for too many of them for that to hold water.

lol as i said nutcases, thats not part of islam. Combining this people like this with islam is like saying the KKK are throuogh bred christians. Sheer ignorance is what i am reading. Its easier to group muslims because they all dress the same, but remember they have different subdivisions viz. suni memon thublik cochni (those are the ones i know any muslims willing to correct me are welcome) and their teaching are different however they all still maintain the core of islam. If you dont believe me all you have to do is ask a mullana at a mosque.

That's exactly my point, islam requires nutcases .... Islam was invented by Muhammad as a way to return to the old teachings. The core of islam indeed preaches violence, intolerance and condemnation. So I can make the argument that anybody who doesn't follow it is not following islam but straying from the old beliefs again. I would actually like for somebody to show why I am wrong.

My other main problem with it is that it does not have an out. The religion is the law and the law is the religion.

Its easy to sit in your chair and judge them for burning the usa flag and say they are savage ect.
