Letting go
If one has too much stuff, how does one decide what to let go of?
I have a pile of games I have had lying around for years but never played. How do I decide
[given that I should probably let the bulk of them go] what to keep and what I can sell or throw away?
I have too many toys.
I have a problem with sales. I lose my mind completely when I see items marked down.
I have the same problem with books.
I have more than I am ever going to get around to reading or playing.

Remove temptation by getting a fixed deposit account, that should help. Baby steps. Or take a 10 year investment policy money gets deducted straight from your account. Money is the temptation remove that and you will learn to be a lot more selective about what you buy. But Baby steps.

Re: Letting go
burn it!
if the neighbours ask why, stare blankly at one of their ears and tell them, in all earnestness, that your porridge told you to...
then quietly ask them to save you while glancing fearfully over your shoulder...
this is always the preferred method of disposal...

Bwahahahahahaha there are clearly some things Birdie should not say. Those are some of them
Birdie - if you haven't played them yet, then they are too old. The newish ones sell - the others take to a second hand shop - at least you will get R5 or something similar.

Re: Letting go
Charity would need a machine or console to play them on

Or they can sell it and get money or they can get a console for Sunday school or something. Point is that it'll be of more use to them than R5 for him.

Calo, i will take some of the games off your hands next week ....
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Helped along by liberal amounts of petrol, the book, game and console burning ceremony was successful up until an uncharacteristically prompt visit by the Buffalo City Fire Department and the local press following reports of a "towering inferno" in one of Slummies' more up market suburbs.
