Anyone?ADV4NCED wrote:Maybe some one here can help me find a movie I've been looking for, for awhile now:
The movie itself is oldish, I watched it maybe 6-12 years ago and is about a kid who bullies another younger group of kids (maybe 2 or 3 other kids) throughout the movie, until the younger kids decide to stop the bully once and for all, and manage to steal a gun to shoot the bully. The bully himself gets beaten by his abusive father who IIRC drinks alot and takes it out on the bully, the bully then takes it out on the younger group of kids.
It was a long time ago since I saw this movie, but I can almost picture Michael Pitt being in the movie, and if I recall, I believe he is the bully. I've looked through many titles trying to find the movie, and have yet to find it.
I also checked Michael Pitt's filmography to check what movies he's played and the only one which is similar to the movie I remember is a movie called Bully (2001) however this is not the movie that I'm looking for.
Another movie I've come across is Mean Creek (2004) however Michael Pitt is not in this movie, whilst this could be the movie I'm looking for, I doubt it considering M Pitt isn't in the movie.
Have any of you seen the movie I'm talking about? Possibly you have an idea which movie I'm looking for?

No idea - sorry. Don't think I ever saw it. Don't remember most that I see anyway.
Re: The Movie Thread
You say you saw the movie 6 - 12 years ago, but do you know how old the movie was when you saw it? Maybe you are confusing Michael Pitt for someone else?

I saw Harry Potter yesterday, it was great. Some scenes were just as I imagined them when I read the book. Sad that such awesome is so rare.

Hey, I was first!
I'm very upset that our local cinema didn't show Inception. I SO wanted to see that movie again!

I'm not quite sure how I should take this, because I haven't really felt that they've been getting better at all.RuadRauFlessa wrote:every one seems to be better than the previous.

quite the opposite... but then, i'm hardly the best person to ask given my obvious lack of interest...Stuart wrote:I haven't really felt that they've been getting better at all.

Re: The Movie Thread
I'm just commenting as someone who has read the books. I'm of the opinion that they have (forcibly) left so much of the books out of the movies that I doubt anyone who has read the books has actually been able to follow the stories. The recent movies have been very disjointed and stuttered imo.
Re: The Movie Thread
Watched Percy Jackson and the Olympians last night with loinfruit. Totally enjoyable - going to see if i can find the books
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Re: The Movie Thread
Yes I have heard from many people that the story line does not make much sense at times and this is probably because they are trying to hard to make this movie better than it really should be.Stuart wrote: I'm just commenting as someone who has read the books. Re: The Movie Thread
I have read the books and watched the movies (not the latest movie though) and I have understood them completely. Sad that they do leave lots out - but the story remains followable.
Re: The Movie Thread
Watched Legion last night - wasn't too bad at all , for a whole end of the world/demon/angel type of movie

Re: The Movie Thread
Exactly. You've understood everything because you've read the books. I'm saying the story is tough to follow if you HAVEN'T read the books. I have to explain the story to my wife every time she watches the latest movie because it's just so disjointed for her as someone who hasn't read the books.Tribble wrote:I have read the books and watched the movies (not the latest movie though) and I have understood them completely. Re: The Movie Thread
Well Sturat go watch the latest one. It is so close ot the book it was almost like reading it all over again. As they are splitting the last book up into two movies they actually have space to make the time they spend running around and hiding in the forests feel like there was a distinct passing of time.

Before I booked tickets for this movie I asked myself:
"I wonder if THE_STIG has seen this movie - perhaps I should ask him for his opinion since he's an all-round knowledgeable and intelligent guy."
But then the acid trip ended and I regained control of my mental facilities.
