Post by jphegers »

I would like to know how a car burns out completely within minutes from a short in a window winder switch ?

have you not read the articles? the switch was already burning when they parked the car, the mother heard a hiss but thought nothing of it. It ignited fully after they were inside....

It's easy, a short becomes hot, flammable materials in car upholstery ignite and tada!

It is still hard to believe it can happen so quickly. Why i say that is i had a Opel monza in the early 90's and it had its window winder switches between the two front seats. they also shorted and only burnt the wiring and scorched the carpet right up to the fusebox under the dashboard but did not catch alight.

I Guess you're reffering to the case involving the Honda Jazz where a child lost her life... it still puzzles me
