I wanted to do Latin in high school. Unfortunately our n00b high school didn't offer it.

My parents gave me a choice of two or three schools when we moved to East London.
I chose the one which offered Latin.

That's because Latin is still an official languange in EL.

I was the brainiac funny enough I never worked that hard on it (Oh and before Stu makes comments about spelling etc languages were my worst subjects)

Oh and school was fun for the most part

(Possibly because I finished reading Carrie the previous night ... j/k)

We had a teacher who brought a gun to school, and we asked her to show it to us once. Someone in the class (not me ... honestly) then went and reported her for "pulling a gun on us" and she got fired. :?
I would imagine that she was fired for bringing a weapon to school whether she showed it to her pupils or not.

@CapNemo: So you are one of those who didn't have to drop to Standard Grade Mathematics then?

School...

That boring thing that happened between Final Fantasy 8 and Baldur' Gate 2.

At an illegal age that thing that happened before weekend parties. Met my 5 best friends there, so we'll forgive them as at least something good came out of it. Was too much of a computer geek to be bothered by things such as a girlfriend. It, together with sports happened to other people. Stayed fit by peddling 8km's to school then 8 km's back home. Still surprised it didn't kill me, was super-fit though, always had the darkest arms and pale-est body, avoided all activity that did not include a shirt. On the plus side the jocks left me alone because of that.

Best memories:
- The endless nagging because I NEVER wore a tie (wore it 3 times my whole school career)
- Poker games in registry class
- Irked teachers because I ditched the official school shoes (you know how bad they were) in favor of Air Force Jump boots (they were black and laced, so they couldn't say it didn't conform, and they were a dream to wear). The female staff hated it, the male staff loved it, reminded them of their days in the army
- Fainting in the School Hall, halfway through the Anthem. Fell over, knocked my head open, blood everywhere. A week later the story had evolved into I fell off the balcony, much to my surprise

Wow most of my primary school career is a Blur  , but i would hit High school any day again, those careless stress free days was the shizness :), the only upside these days is earning your own moola, and not having to ask the parentals for some movie(beer) money

Nope - I remember primary school. We used to jump the fence and go to the corner shop during break and free periods :D Didn't always buy stuff - just stood and chatted.

My first 8 years were hell. My last 5 were brilliant.

Boarding made me. I loved the independence and responsibilities, they were at a good balance to promote personal growth.
