Several Countries around the world have laws that "protect" mothers who kill their new born babies (due to postnatal depression). Postnatal depression due to the hormone fluctuations and such is common and often drives the mother to kill their newborns. Sad as it is, it happens to lots of people, from lots of different backgrounds
