my 3g operates at about 1kb/s (kB/s?) when using the net on my phone. I can't even make a phone call at the moment. I either get network busy or connection error. HTH can the network be busy at 12pm???

Vodacom's accounts department is USELESS! They have taken over a month to activate 2 x data contracts and an APN.

this is in lots of different areas. and in the middle of the night, i don't think the network would be busy. they are just useless

10 months ago moved into new place, lasst week only they ph me to say adsl is now available.
I spend R1000 to setup wireless network and cabling inside my house.
Telkom arrives and 15 mins later tell me sorry they looked at the friken wrong box outside, the one I'm connected to does not have ports available for dsl.

I scream. They fix it by giving me a reference number where they reported the f-up. Am I s'posed to feel better now ?

I agree with Telkom. Our ADSL went down on Friday night. Sat morning I call fault reporting and we go through the whole setting up and rebooting your modem thingy. He tells me he will not log the fault as the line is fine. I tell him this happens often and it is always a problem at the exchange. He says I must call my service provider and they must sort the problem out. He refuses to give me a reference no.

We do the whole service provider thing - and guess what - it is a Telkom problem. Fault finally logged but who knows when they will attend to it.

Tribble do you have the date and time of your first call with them. They are supposed to log every call and provide a reference number. If you explicitly ask for a reference then they are not allowed to decline the request. I would love to talk to one of their managers to find the call and get you to a point where you can actually claim for damages.
