Thailand Rocks! i'm so going back onedayScreeper wrote:Seeing as the pics Tribs is posting are of the eastern persuasion here's a bit of interesting news... well kinda...
My younger sis just called me today to say she has bought a hotel in Thailand and she (and hubby) are leaving CT in June to go and run it etc..
Totally outta the blue
She got married there last year September and fell in love with the country.
So if any of you are planning a trip to Thailand from July onwards I know a hotel in Phuket that you can stay in

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
I fell in love with Thailand after the Mortal Kombat movie. I had to see in what paradise it was shot and found out it was Thailand.
Image is too large to post here so here's a link: http://i35.tinypic.com/svl6hu.jpg
That is what I consider paradise.

Depending on where you go, absolutely yes!Synthesis wrote: Is the beach and ocean really like it looks like on the movies? Such clear water and amazing cliffs etc.
The whole of Southern Thailand is like that photo. Crystal clear blue seas and white sands.
It is one of the few places I've been where reality lives up to the photo's. Some really beautiful beaches and islands.

Just dug up a few pics... and apparently the island we stayed on is no where near as good as some of them.
View from the top of a hill we walked up
The harbour
Beach where we were staying

Yup, well the islands yes but Phuket is over crowded and the beaches are a bit less clean, and there was a drain outside our hotel which was running into the ocean so i decided not to swim thereSynthesis wrote:You a bastid you know that!!!!!Prime wrote: Thailand Rocks! i'm so going back oneday

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
Yes i agree, Phuket is taking strain under the pressure of all the tourists.Prime wrote: Yup, well the islands yes but Phuket is over crowded and the beaches are a bit less clean, and there was a drain outside our hotel which was running into the ocean so i decided not to swim there

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
You need to be careful though, you could get taken for a real ride if you go to thailand, you might be better booking through a travel agency. There is a language barrier and it gets bigger the further up north you go.Synthesis wrote:I fell in love with Thailand after the Mortal Kombat movie. And do not rent a car or bike in thailand. take a taxi.

Re: English Spam Thread and General Rubbish
That looks like a pretty good price to me. What cage you going to put it in?
In fact now that i think about it, that is a really good price! A quick look at Sybaritic, and they're no where near those prices (in fact they don't even have a 320gig 2.5" drive)
