Haha, I highly doubt any government is quite on par with SA's Home Affairs office...

Well my own countdown has begun. My return to NZ is now booked and confirmed for April 27th... :D

Good luck dude, hope your visa and all gets sorted soon...

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Thanks bud. I was living there last year, and for some reason unknown to a normal thinking person I came back here. Can't wait to get back though...

Surely you mean slightly to the right... :D

Wouldn't that depend on which direction you are facing

And Ryan - coming back was necessary. But now you know how you want things to be - and are taking steps to make that a reality. And I believe that you are doing the right thing for you.

I too want those interwebs - but I don't want to live there

Thanks Tribs. Yup I know it's the right thing to do... Coming back was definitely necessary because I would've always gone on about it and wondered otherwise... Lifes school fees I guess. :D

I will always love SA and it will always hold a special place in my heart. :(

Yup, very expensive. My NZ experience cost me about R200K last time... This time will be much less though, but still, damn!

thEnaileDonE: Nope. A few islands to the east of NZ are first to experience new years, and then NZ. Remember the time zones travel from right to left on a map, and NZ is right of Australia, so it's ahead of time compared to the rest of the world, so to speak.

I know, thats way my comment about it being right rather than left... always just thought Ausies first in line for the new day, now I know it is NZ :)
