Id buy a TVR for a weekend fun ride and a BMW 335i as a run around everyday driver.

2 cars but they'd end up around a mil if you shopped around nicely.

Lotus Exige S for track days and weekend fun.

BMW 135i for every day. In white with red leather and gun metal CSL rims.

RiaX: M3 is awesome yeah but for half the price a chipped 135i walks all over it. :o

nice naughty!

The noble gives good bang for buck, as i just read it gives ferrari enzo performance at the price of porsche 911.

My car would be an M3 if i had that kind of bucks, but its not practical as i live in a middle class suburb.

A saloon 2004 Subaru STi (About R380K) + some chipping and mods to bring it up to R450K

and

The new VW scorrico or whatever it's called + extras such as a stanav and leather seats.
That's about R300K which leaves me R250K for: a Mini 1275 in cream (R70K for a good one) and R180K for maintenance for all 3 cars for the next decade.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero :(

well price isnt the issue for this type of question :? . secondly perhaps a chipped 135i can match the m3 BUT the M looks way better and is a much better car and has more status than a 1-series could ever acheive.

Personally i hate 1-series they a joke and a massive fail from bmw imo. If you want a small hatch go audi a3 :D

Let me put it simply would you prefer to look out your window and see a m3 or a 135i on your driveway?

Well, there will soon be an M3 in my driveway, albeit the E46 and not E92.

E92 M3 is an awesome car, no doubt.

135i isn't the hatch BTW, it's the coupe, and I actually think it's really hot and a performance bargain of note...

The hatch is a disgrace, the 1 series coupe is awesome. Better looking than most of the 3 series IMO.

Yup, the 135i is truly an outstanding car.

Jeremy Clarkson initially HATED the 1 series, and now he has this to say regarding the coupé version...

Critical response has dramatically changed in recent years - the 1-series coupé and convertible have been described as 'returning BMW to its roots', and the M120i has been described as the spiritual successor of the original M325i of the 1980's. Clarkson himself awarded the 2008 model five stars, and had the following to say: 'The 135 coupé is the best car BMW makes.'

Yes in PE but they send it to the UK for the engine.

Coupe saloon version of the 1 series is win. Bangle is the suck. 135 is awesome-that engine has won a few awards.
