Worst food I ever had was in Toti (Warner beach) called Zanzi Bar.
Best has to be Adega's by Retail Crossing , near Clearwater Mall in the Westrand, JHB.
Not much beats (Sp) Muchachos.

I have only eaten at the Greenstone Mall. Trying for the life of me to remember what the restaurant was called. It is opposite The Incredible Con. Quite pricey but the food was good. I had the haloumi and sweet chillie - huge portions. Have a look at their menu but I remember it took me a while to decide so they must have a nice selection. I think it is an Italian place as they have lots of pasta dishes.Siemens wrote:Okay people I've got an emergency and I'll need your help.
My friend from the US is going to be here on thanksgiving(thursday) and we decided to go celebrate it at a restaurant.
She will be staying in Edenvale , so if anyone knows of a good restaurant in edenvale please let me know as soon as possible. Also someone that I'm taking with is a vegetarian so if it could be a veggie friendly restaurant I'd appreciate it even more.
Thanks

Recommend in Cape Town (in no particular order):
- Peddlars (On the Bend) in the Constantia area - great ambiance, even better pub meals...
- Beluga in Green Point (near media 24) - i love this place, 1)sushi here is delectable 2) they have the most beautiful maitre d's 3) cool location
- Yindees and Saigon on Kloof Street - nothing to choose between these two places, and the are directly opposite each other. Fantastic Vietnamese and Thai cuisine.
- Chef Pon's near the Gardens centre - an extensive eastern menu: thai, vietnamese, chinese, mongalian, you name it they have it. Try their mongolian style ostrich, you could die and be happy.
I can go on with this list, just cant remember names of places at the moment. I frequent these places and not once have i had bad service.

@Tribs, it's called Cappucinos and +1 for their food, especially the pizzas!Tribble wrote:I have only eaten at the Greenstone Mall. Hussar Grill in Camps Bay highly recommended. Excellent service, brilliant food (especially the steaks), nice venue and setting, everything was just great!

I've only heard good things about Cappucinos. I'll be sure to give it a try.
For that night we went to Villa Bianca , it was alright.
We made a booking for 6pm and they made us wait til 6.30 before allowing us to be seated. Not very good impression for my friends(they are foreigners).
The food was alright, nothing to write home about.

My absolute favorite place to eat is Ribs and Rumps in the Glen. They have the most juicy steaks I have ever eaten! Wide variety of food and drink as well as a very cool atmosphere. Cool thing is with the deserts. When you ask for the desert menu, they come out with a tray displaying the deserts! You cannot say no to that!!
