I'm not really a rugby fan, but I just keep on hearing my parents and their friends SCREAMING on the top of their lugs. It gets pretty irritating after a while...
Anyway I was just wondering what the significance of that game was. I heard if was pretty big, but how big exactly?

I agree, I actually hardly ever watch sports, at least at my place people don't shout while they're watching it, no one here watched today though.SmL9 wrote:I'm not really a rugby fan, but I just keep on hearing my parents and their friends SCREAMING on the top of their lugs. OK, I guess I would have watched if I knew that...Sacred_Rose wrote:This is only the second time in history that the springboks have won the Tri-nations

The only big celebration I ever had was in 1995 (was 1995, wasn't it?) when we won the world cup. THAT was just really damn cool! I can remember my family going for a drive and there were people running around in the street and stuff.

Yeah, SA actually played well, so I decided to watch. Awesome game. I was surprized the aussies, didn't do pull something out of the hat in the last 4 minutes. After they last try, I was getting nervous. But we won... so yay!
Still don't really get how if we won that game (which we did) then SA win, and if they lost then they would become bottom of the log. Ok, I do realise that there is only 3 teams, so it is mathematically viable, just is a bit weird. Imagine that happening in soccer, Arsenal loses to Southhamptons and the gunners are bottom of the log. :)

Is that anything like the FX 5200 with a multiplier of 10? What frames does it get in doom?Snail wrote:Absa Stadium 52000
Also what about the subs and coaches for the Aussies? Surely that's about 20 or 30 something.Snail wrote:15 Aussies

Comments like this make me wonder why God even created humans in the first place. Makes me wonder about the whole educational system too, they should just abolish schools completely.Nerevar wrote:The 52000 are the people in the staduim
Nerevar, obviously I know that. It's called humour, since all everyone always talks about is gfx cards (and overlooking... hence the "multiplier") and playing doom3, thought it would be funny to add that twist to the comment. I live in Durban, (see below avatar) how on earth would I not know what Absa Stadium is? No wonder you're a DBZ fan.
As for Rathbone, I think he's an absolute martyr, standing up for what he believes in. If SARFU wants to treat him like rubbish, then they get what they deserve by losing a valuable player. He explained it very well on the Carte Blanche interview.
