Erm, I just suddenly got an influx of text messages over Skype from sex_goddess, sexyback and a handful of other ... er ... friends. Is this normal? Or is jamin stalking me now?

I did it myself every service for about three years. Just started training some other guys in the last couple of months. Got four of them we're working with, alternating on sound and projection. They just got used to the idea of Powerpoint, so I think they might want to lynch me when I suggest a change.

Um, this is gonna be one of those nights. I just swung my feet under my computer desk, felt something soft and furry, heard a sharp yelp and received a rude nip on the big toe by a confused Cocker Spaniel. I never even realised she was there. and : ouch : (we need an : ouch : smiley)

Dude, i do not envy you! Ya i ended up helping with sound, although thats relatively easy. the worst that can happen is someone's audio dies midway through a song and that sort of thing.

Try having a Band decide to do an unplanned song midway through a set. that just becomes really awkward. or having a dodgey slide. and you can feel the whole church watch you panicing and trying to fix it (especially when it was someone elses mess up.)

I'm so glad I no longer do it.

Well, we had a major upgrade on our sound system about a year ago or so, but the guy who did it took us for a real ride. Charged us R11k for a sound desk which we later found out was only worth R3.5k. Got some seriously rubbish equipment, but paid some good money for it. So we have a lot more fun with our system than most places.

Ouch! shame. Poor dog
