Freddie Ljungberg has poured scorn on suggestions he wants to leave Arsenal.

Media reports this morning suggested the Swedish midfielder was set to end almost six years at Highbury with a transfer to an Italian club.

However, speaking to Arsenal.com, the 27-year-old was left scratching his head at the suggestion he wanted to move and revealed he has never discussed the possibility with Arsenal manager ArsÃ¨ne Wenger.

"I don't know where these stories about me leaving Arsenal have come from," he said.

"I enjoy playing football here. I have never had a conversation with the boss at any time about wanting to leave the Club and at the moment I am just focussing on the start of the new season."

Yeah but you always hear these stories of denial before the doodoo hits the fan.

I mean just look at all the denials Patrick Vieira made before signing for Real Madrid.

Actually this season Vieira didn't deny anything... All he said was please don't ask me that. Previous seasons he has denied being linked to a transfer.
