@Anky - I will make Stig so scared of me - he wouldn't dare

The Phoenix has landed. Birdie has been deposited at his accommodation and knows to await pick up in the morning.

Uh, I have a bit of a sudden family situation that may well force me to stay this side of town tomorrow morning. If I can get away I will be there. I'd really like to be. But I have my doubts that it's going to be possible.

Oh no - Birdie will be so disappointed. We will eventually forgive you though. We are there the whole day - until closing. So feel free to pop in any time. You have my number.....

I wonder if he knows that he is stuck there until closing time......... I am sure he will survive.

I could stay there until then but my brother who I have to bring along becomes bored to death after about an hour.....

Well you did get to see me and Birdie.

To Anky, Puppy and their bosses - thanks so much for the wonderful surprise. Sneakily coming all the way to join us at rAge. Just wish everyone had arrived and not been delayed by the queues. And wish Doo had been able to join us. Hope the funeral wasn't too morbid.

Well I will post photos - but will post carefully as Anky had his camera there too  Really was not expecting them. Was flabbergasted when they snuck up behind me.

My camera only took one photo and that was because, besides people, there was nothing to take a photo of :/.

I was underwhelmed by rage. Way to many people to be able to do any decent shopping and whoever the organizers were need to find a better way of A: Getting people into the venue, took way to long. B: Doing proper store layouts, was extremely difficult to do any shopping because it was near impossible to move around any kiosk let alone the shop floor. Saw quite a few empty spaces that would not have existed if they just spaced everything correctly.

It was great to see everyone again even though I was a Zombie and struggled to identity people, sorry Prime. :P

Probably won't do rage again and will just stick to online shopping from now on.

/reminds me of poorly organized flea market rage...

Sadly I have to agree -this was not the best rAge. The layout did suck and there were way too many people. Being able to see all you guys made it an awesome day though.

When you left us I tried finding my kids. In those thousands of people. The Cell network had gone out again and my cell had 4% battery life by then. It took almost 2 hours to track them all down - as they had split up. I couldn't even let you know that I couldn't make lunch - so sorry about that. Felt terrible.

Captain Nemo found us and joined us for a while - walking around and snacking on badly cooked food. There was no beer to be found :P We did have fun though - but not so much with the games and exhibitions, but because of the people who were with us. Chatting to Nicholas and Iaan while standing in very long, squashed queues. I did get my Wheatly - and that is all I had on my to get list :D Well that and photos. Gonna go through them now and see if any are usable.

Yea I must agree that the expo was the worst one I have been to so far, there was less to see than in previous years I found but yet it was absolute chaos, it was completely impossible to by anything and the prices were nothing special either :(

But was nice meeting everyone finally :)

Well, the Museum was underwhelming, the Cheetahs and the Boks lost, Spur is RIDICULOUSLY expensive for very average food. I won the bowling though, but not with a good score (112 best). Got back late last night and discovered this morning that I had picked up the flu or something.

Sounds like I didn't miss much at Rage though, except for meeting all of you guys.

Overall, I loved it, but then....

I have never been to rAge before, thus had nothing to compare it to.

Disposable razors? They gave us disposable razors when what we really need was cheap cologne?

What an honour to finally meet Rusty.

I didn't think that it would ever. happen.

gautengers have already proven they can't organise a convivial event in an actual brewery so the turnout was actually better than anticipated.. :P

rage organisers really need to rethink venue with respect to vendors, (and beer!)... far too crowded to the point that some of the stalls almost prevented traffic flow :/

aside from that... great meet... :D

<edit>was also brought down by a tainted schwarma... my faith in dodgy expo cuisine has been shaken to its core..</edit>
